About Us
Steel Elite Athletics opened in 2016 in a rented space within a Smyrna, TN, athletic facility. Within months we had grown tremendously, so we moved into our own facility after relocating to Murfreesboro, TN. Since then, we have continued to expand, opening our 10,000-square-foot location in Murfreesboro, TN, in 2020 and becoming the premier competitive cheerleading program in the Middle TN Murfreesboro area. At SEA, we pride ourselves on three fundamental values that we feel set us apart from other programs:
1) RESPECT every athlete, regardless of skill, experience, age, or background, will be coached equally at any time with a SEA coach or staff member.
2) The DETAILS matter at every program and age level, as we place consistent emphasis on technique and proper progression. Our athletes are well-rounded and are assets in every area of the routine. Team FIRST Individual wants second.
3) SMALL gym BIG heart We are a D2 program; as a small gym, most people expect less competition, and it is quite the contrary; while we offer a family feels with great friendships, program pride, and camaraderie across our gym, we pride ourselves on competing against the best at any moment and feeling prepared for that.
Our goal is to create passionate individuals with like-minded purposes; thus, each team will be composed of athletes with similar skill sets, mental maturity, and work ethic.

2023-2024 Tryouts & Evaluation
Steel Elite holds our cheer team evaluations in May of every year. This evaluation helps us decide who should be placed on which team rather it is one of our elite teams, Prep, or novice teams.
